Classroom Experience

This class has been alright. I have learned quite a few more things about game designing this year then I did last year. The class I think in my personal opinion was a lot more fun this year than last year. The people in the class new a lot more about game design and they were funny. So altogether my experience in flash and game design has increased. This is my last year in this class so I will not increase my knowledge of flash anymore unless I download it, which I just may.

Game Progress

My game progress has unfortunately slowed way down on both games. :( My original game has died down because of reasons I have stated before, because I have been working on my civics game. My civics game pace has slowed down because both of my partners are seniors and they are no longer here. So therefore my game still isn't even close to being finished. But hopefully it will be finished by the end of the year.

Game Progress

Well...I haven't really been working on my regular game that much lately. I have mainly been focusing on my civics game the last couple of weeks. Each person in our group has a certain part they have to do and I have done all of my part except the coding part. My other teammates have also been working pretty diligently. I'd say our game will work out fine and will all come together in the end very well. But as of right now, we are not finished.

Little Clothing=Earthquakes?

So today, I heard that according to a Muslim prophet earthquakes are caused by women wearing scantily clad clothing. This means that the Muslims think that earthquakes are cause by women wearing hardly any clothing? There's no way that's true. If that were true, there would be an earthquake every single day in America. The fashion for women these days just so happens to fall in the line of small or little amounts of clothing on their bodies. I don't see whats wrong with it, that is if they don't abuse it or make the clothing to showy. But there is no way that women wearing scantily clad clothing causes earthquakes.

Game Progress

My first game that I have to work on that's called Health Inspector is not coming along to well to be completely honest. The reason being is because the last week and a half or so I have been with my other teammates working on our civics game. It is coming along pretty steadily. I have been looking up questions for the quiz part of our game. We need about 25 questions or so and so far I have 15. Also, Mark and George, my teammates, have been working good. George has been working on the title screen and other introduction parts. Mark has been working on game play screens. So hopefully we get it finished in time and it works exceptionally and is a good game.

Bloober-blugger

If I were God and happened to have the chance to recreate the world, I would probably not change very many things. I think God did a pretty good job creating the world, just we as people don't do a very good job of taking care of it. He made the world to be a very beautiful and wonderful place. I couldn't do any better than He did. God created the world so that we could have a place to live and we should cherish the fact He did that.

Blugger

If I could be any super hero I would probably be Batman. I honestly am not sure why I chose him. Id say probably because he is a really good super hero that always saves the day. But more than likely I would probably like to be myself just with super powers. I would like to super human strength and invisibility. I would like to have these powers because being able to be strong enough to lift anything. Also, I would like to be able to be invisible because I would get to just go around and watch people do whatever they are doing without them knowing I'm there.

Spring Break

Over Spring Break, I went to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. It was pretty cool, not gonna lie. It was my first time flying. I was kinda scared before the flight, but when I got on and took off I actually liked it a whole lot! It was really cool. But when we landed I felt ready and wanted to just hit the parks. I went to some parks and they were pretty fun. My favorite was MGM. I liked it because there was the Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster. Those were my favorite rides that I actually rode. We also played 6 baseball games and only won two of them. We played on the Atlanta Braves spring training field, it was bad a. Even though it was really fun down there, I'm glad to be home and be able to sleep in my own bed. I'd do it again tomorrow though.

Spring Break Plans

My plans for spring break are going to be really cool and exciting, but on the other hand its going to be very scary and frightening. Its going to be really fun because the baseball team is going to Florida to play some games down there. But the downfall of all this will be I have never been on a plane so therefore I'm pretty scared. Also, I don't really like amusement parks either so...I guess we'll just have to see how all this goes.

Favorite Athlete

My favorite athlete of all time is Mark Mcgwire. Mark Mcgwire is my all time favorite athlete because he rips dongs. He has always been my favorite player. He didn't play for my favorite team, but he was still such a good hitter that I like him so much. He reminds me a lot of myself which is also another reason I like him. He has red hair like me. He is a great hitter like me.

Goals to accomplish on my game this quater

Our game isn't fully done yet. We have, however, been working on it rather diligently. We have some pretty high hopes for our game. We hope to get it finished by the end of the year for sure. Our goal is to pretty much get the game itself finished. The main goal though we have is to have a good game that a lot of people will play and get enjoyment out of. If we have a game that has a few levels that are pretty decent, we will be happy overall.

Other Game Design Game

In my opinion, I think that Team Waffle House has the overall best game design. They have a very good game idea. Their wiki is very phenomenal also. They have all their game screens they have done uploaded to it. They have all the info filled out correctly and it is all very good information. Even though they are Game Design 1 students, they have a great talent in this class. They have very good drawings and their flash work is just great. They have worked their tails off and have put forth a lot of effort. I think they have a great game idea and a very awesome wiki.

Game Design, good or bad?

Uh...for the most part I like this class fairly well. I like how we blog a lot. I like just writing down my opinions on hot topics, or on the other hand just random topics Reed gives us. But I also like how we just use the computers in general. Ive learned a lot about the use of computers since being in this class. So Id say my favorite part about this class is blogging. Like I said, I like just writing down my opinions. My least favorite part about this class is probably the fact I don't know how to code very well on flash. This sucks for me because that's basically what this whole class is about.

Game Progress

Our game progress is going along I guess decent would be a good word to describe it. We have made a few changes to our character Bill. He now looks almost like a regular person instead of a screwed up drawing. But we have also made the meat more aggressive looking. But all in all, we have made pretty ok progress. The one thing we do need more work on though is the coding. We haven't actually coded anything yet but we will soon and we will need quite a bit of help with it.

Internet...Good or Bad?

The internet has it's ups and it's downs. But for the most part, I think the internet is good. I believe this mostly because it helps people interact a lot easier and a lot faster. On the other hand, the internet is bad because there are a lot of people that abuse it. What I mean is there are a lot of people that use the internet for reasons they shouldn't. For example, looking at porn. Or some people could wreck their marriages because they're having online affairs or something of that sort. Either way, I think overall the internet has caused society to basically become lazier and fatter. But I also think it has made society a little bit smarter in some ways.

Movie

Hmmm....if I had to choose a movie that would describe my life, I would probably have to choose Cellular. It's a movie about a guy whose just minding his own business and one day he gets a random phone call. He asks who it is and the lady says her name and she explains where she is and what's wrong with her. Her son and her have been kidnapped and are placed in a house where these guys are going to kill them. He does everything he can to protect this lady and her son. He goes through a bunch of killers in order to keep them safe and he does it.

2B or not 2B

As an adult, I would probably send my children here to SVHS. But it actually kind of all depends on where I'm living as an adult and what my occupations are. If I succeed in the parts of schooling I want to, I will become an anesthesiologist. Becoming an anesthesiologist would mean I would probably have to move away somewhere unless Cabell Huntington or St. Mary's came up with a lot more money to pay. But if I lived around here, I would send my children here to the ole' wolves den.

Game Progress

Well...our game is getting started fairly well. Yesterday Daniel fixed my mistakes on our main character, Bill. I did an ok job on him, but not really. Daniel on the other hand did a pretty dang good job fixing him. He gave him a better face and straightened up his body. But we're coming along pretty decent at the moment.

Olympics

The Winter Olympics are going on again. I haven't really watched them to be honest about it. I do know though that there is a guy that was killed this year in them. He apparently was bobsleding and he was going like 90 mph and he went of track and hit a pole. Unfortunately, he died instantly. Also, I did happen to see Shaun White do freakin amazing and won gold. But anyways Emily needs to use my computer so Im going to have to cut it short.

Snow Day or Snow Week?

This entire month pretty much has been nothing but snow days. I love it though. I haven't done anything the entire time. I much rather like being at my house doing nothing then school. I have played Call of Duty and Madden and listened to music the whole time. Like I said, Id much rather be there doing that then here at school.

Game

Well, we haven't really worked on our actual game for a little while. We have the first couple screens made and a few of the game play screens made. Our team page I think is pretty good. We have everything on there we're suppose to. We have our game screens, our little project we have done like the Collision Detector, and everything else.

Breakfast Food

To be completely honest, I don't really like breakfast food that much. I can eat it, but it's not my cup of sugar. I do enjoying putting a cup of sugar in my cereal though. My favorite cereals are Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cap'n Crunch, and Cheerios. I also like sometimes, depending on the mood Im in, the regular breakfast stuff, such as: eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy, and so on and so forth... But other than the mood Im in, I don't really tend to eat breakfast that much. Oh wait..I love toaster strudels a lot so that's usually what I eat when I eat breakfast.

Fo Mo Mo Lines

If I could go to the future and live there, I would want it to be the best place ever. I would want there to be lower gas prices and lower everything else prices. I would want the world to be a better place all around because people now-a-days are just always to serious and take everything for granted. Way to many people get way to aggravated over the dumbest things. I would pretty much just want the future to be trouble less and peaceful.

Fo Yo

In historical times of our game progress, we have done the paper prototype for the game. The paper prototype itself is a fairly well explanation of the game. It shows how the game is going to work and also what the game is going to consist of. Also, we have made the first 5 or 6 slides in our game. The slides aren't that great, I'm not going to lie. But hopefully we will continue to work on our game and hopefully get it finished. I hope it's a good game also.

Funny Story

A funny thing that has happened to me was last year on my way to this class actually. We were on our way to the bus. There was me and a couple of my friends. We got on the bus and sat down. We were one of the first people on the bus so there was still a lot people yet to get on. There was this one girl that was walking up the stairs to get on the bus. As she was walking down the aisle, one of my friends said Dalton, quit that. I had no idea what he was talking about. But come to find out he accused me of looking down this girl's shirt, which I did not. I said I did not do that. Well he went on and on about it and told everybody in the class and pretty much everyone that he knew. He actually went as far as telling my grandparents. I really don't know why he told people this. And the bad part about it is he still tells everyone about it even after it has been a whole year.

Fo Mo Lines

Uh...let's see... I can't really think of the best thing that has ever happened to me. One of the best things that has ever to me is definitely getting saved when I was nine years old. I was got saved at Christ Temple Church on Johnstown road. That was a very important part in my life. Another very important part of my life was hitting a home run the first swing, my first game, and my first at bat both my freshman and sophomore year. It is really cool to me that I have done this two years in a row. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can achieve this yet again this year and next year.

Worst Tragedy

To be honest, I haven't really had anything that bad happen to me. If I had to choose something to be my worst tragedy ever to happen to me, it would probably be after my last birthday party. After my party I had a couple people to stay the night. Those people went behind my RV that night around 1 o'clock and started smoking. I personally don't smoke or anything so it was really bad because my mamaw saw them but didn't know what they were doing. If she would've known I definitely would have been screwed.

Winter Pro and Cons

Winter to me is actually quite a lovely time of year. I like winter because it's always really pretty outside. The snow makes the ground look pretty awesome. Along with the snow we get snow days depending on how much snow is on the ground. I love snow days for the most part but there are some downs about them. The worst part about snow days are even though you don't have to go to school, you still are usually snowed in and can't go anywhere.

Christmas Break

Well...over break I didn't really do that much at all. I basically just hung out at my house and played xbox the whole entire time. I went to a lot of basketball games. These included valley and buffalo. The funniest were the buffalo games because there are a lot of funny people that play there. The best all around games though were definitely the valley games. I also had a couple friends over to my house to hang out. The best part of my Christmas break was definitely getting a new phone and getting call of duty modern warfare 2 and madden 10.
